About Me
My passion for obstetrics and gynecology comes from a deep commitment to caring for women and patients assigned female at birth through every stage of their reproductive health. There is nothing quite like the joy of delivering babies, and I am equally passionate about family planning care and adolescent health as young women transition into adulthood. I love minimally invasive surgical techniques, which offer shorter recovery times and less discomfort. Before completing residency, I served in the Navy, giving me a special affinity for caring for female veterans. Education is central to my practice, both teaching trainees, which is why I've stayed at Duke, and educating patients, combining the latest evidence with each patient's individual preferences to guide their care. Whether delivering a baby, performing surgery, or simply listening to a patient's concerns, my goal is always the same: compassionate, personalized care built on trust.
