About Me
I chose pediatric emergency medicine because I enjoy taking care of children and supporting their families, whether the child has a minor or severe illness or injury. When I am not working, I love to spend time outdoors with my family. We enjoy going on hikes, water sports, and beach days.

Clinical Focus and Research
I am a pediatric emergency medicine physician with a research interest in child health advocacy and health equity. My academic work focuses on health equity and promotion of anti-poverty policies, because I have seen firsthand the negative impact poverty has on my patient's health outcomes. I have worked with community organizations nationally and internationally in the areas of social screening, health outcome disparities, identification of human trafficking, and interventions that target child poverty. I also have an interest in promoting the wellness of health care providers.
