About Me
I have been working in the social work field for over twenty years. The majority of my career has been spent providing services for adults coping with acute trauma, as well as those with chronic and persistent mental health issues. My primary therapeutic models are Seeking Safety and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I also explore how thought patterns influence emotions and behaviors. I utilize a practical, skills-based approach to provide patients with tools to increase self-awareness and manage symptoms through brief, short-term treatment models. My style is best described as a collaborative approach. I work with the patient to establish treatment goals, use concrete skills in session, and offer assignments for home practice. When I’m not working, I enjoy traveling, hiking, cooking, and raising honeybees.
