About Me
I have worked in oncology since the start of my nursing career and fell in love with caring for patients with cancer. When I completed my advanced nursing degree, I knew that I wanted to continue to care for this patient population. I strive to provide evidence-based and holistic care for patients and their families. My goal is to address not only the medical, but the emotional, psychological, and social aspects of my patients' lives. I enjoy when I can help make a difference in my patients' day-to-day lives and improve their quality of life while undergoing treatment. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and visiting my family near Sunset Beach, North Carolina.

Clinical Focus and Research
During my doctoral program, I completed a dissertation on chronic pain management in the elderly population. I focused on non-pharmacological interventions to improve pain management in a population that may be more susceptible to the negative effects of pain medications.
