About Me

I have been working at Duke Health for over 30 years, having moved from Louisiana after undergraduate PT school. I attained my Masters and Doctoral Degrees in physical therapy at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. I’ve worked with the Duke Sports Medicine team since 2001 increasingly focusing on shoulder rehabilitation. I treat rotator cuff related pain and bursitis, frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis), shoulder fractures, rotator cuff tears, and shoulder replacement surgery. I enjoy working with the "aging athlete" who is trying hard to stay in the game! My focus on shoulder led me to join a professional organization called American Shoulder and Elbow Therapists, and I have served as President as well as on the research and education committees. I am a Primary Osteoarthritis Provider in our Shoulder Joint Health program, which provides wholistic care to help patients with long-term self-management strategies for shoulder arthritis.
