Insurance

Duke Health contracts with most major health insurance carriers and transplant networks, including the ones listed below. Before scheduling your appointment, we strongly recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the Duke Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any co-payments, co–insurances, or deductibles that will be your responsibility. If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with Duke, your out of pocket liability may be higher. We will contact you regarding your coverage and patient liability. If you are uninsured, learn more about our financial assistance policy

WHERE I PROVIDE CARE
Profile
ABOUT ME

I am a general pediatrician who sees infants, young children and adolescents, but I have a particular interest in adolescent care. I like to help teenagers transition through a challenging period in their lives. I think that teens get a bad reputation that I’m not sure they deserve. When I meet with a family for the first time, I like to give them a chance to tell their story. Not just their medical history, but also the story of their lives, which often contains important clinical information. One big advantage for patients who come to Duke is that if they need subspecialty care, then we can coordinate their care in conjunction with the subspecialist. Outside of work, I am happily married with two kids, four dogs and a cat. My family and I like to do a lot of outdoor activities like biking, running and windsurfing at the coast.
