About Me

I believe the doctor-patient relationship is the foundation of effective primary care, and that relationship is built by listening carefully to each patient's story — how they make sense of the experiences, concerns and goals that shape their health and well-being. I care for people with the full range of primary care needs, including preventive care, chronic conditions, sports and musculoskeletal injuries, and unexpected illnesses. I especially enjoy caring for adolescents and emerging adults as they transition to managing their own health care and building lifelong healthy habits. Even in a healthcare system that can feel rushed and overwhelming, I believe we still have meaningful opportunities to understand what matters most to each person and make better decisions together. Teaching physicians in training keeps me optimistic about the future of medicine. They inspire me to embrace new knowledge and technology while reminding me that our most important therapeutic tool will always be our ability to listen to and act on each patient's story.

Clinical Focus and Research

My Research Interests

My research has focused on improving the health and wellbeing of both patients and the clinicians who care for them. I have studied how storytelling impacts patient experience and physician burnout, as well as student health and healthcare delivery on college campuses during the COVID-19 pandemic. My goal is to develop practical approaches that strengthen relationships, improve communication, and create healthcare systems that better support patients and the people who care for them.
