Duke Health contracts with most major health insurance carriers and transplant networks, including the ones listed below. Before scheduling your appointment, we strongly recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the Duke Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any co-payments, co–insurances, or deductibles that will be your responsibility. If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with Duke, your out of pocket liability may be higher. We will contact you regarding your coverage and patient liability. If you are uninsured, learn more about our financial assistance policy.

Below are the plans currently accepted in 2018. There are some changes to the plans accepted beginning January 1, 2019. More information will become available on PlanForDuke.com.

ABOUT ME

I see a spectrum of neurological disorders but specialize in Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor, Huntington’s disease, and other disorders in which people have difficulty moving, either too much or too little. A lot of what I see are disorders that keep people from performing daily, routine activities that we don't even think of until we can't perform them anymore. I will take as much time as I need to figure out what is going on with my patients, and I value developing relationships with them as I work to diagnose and treat them. Movement disorders is one of the fields of neurology in which you can physically see the difference that changes in medication or in treatment have on your patients. For me, one of the most satisfying parts of practicing neurology is when patients come back and tell me they're able to do something they weren't able to do before – like walk without a walker or play tennis or golf.
