About Me

It is a privilege to get to know my patients at Duke Primary Care Pickett Road and support them in living healthier, fuller lives.

I focus on the prevention and treatment of medical conditions, including high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, obesity, depression, and anxiety. I believe in providing an evidence-based approach to helping people understand how lifestyle changes can complement medications to enhance overall health.

I chose internal medicine because it is a specialty that relies on teamwork and collaboration. I enjoy communicating openly with patients so that I can help them better understand their medical conditions, and in turn, gain a deeper understanding of their priorities and life experiences, allowing me to provide personalized treatment plans that best suit their goals.

I am originally from Dallas, Texas, but have lived in many areas across the United States. My family is from the North Carolina and Virginia region, and they have been patients in the Duke Health system for over 50 years.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors, staying active, and spending time with family and friends, as well as volunteering in my community.

If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with Duke, your out of pocket liability may be higher. We will contact you regarding your coverage and patient liability. If you are uninsured, learn more about our financial assistance policy.
