Eleanor M. Henn, CHT, MSOT

I started my career in burn rehabilitation where I provided therapy across ICU, inpatient, and outpatient settings. It was there that I fully appreciated the direct connection between our hand function and our quality of life. I found hand burn injuries to be especially compelling and realized how critical therapy was for outpatients who were coming in for their appointments while also trying to return to their roles at home, at work, and in their communities. So I made the transition to outpatient orthopedic hand therapy and absolutely love the work that I do! I specialize in the treatment of hand, wrist, and elbow problems including custom splinting, something that usually sets OT apart from PT.

I decided to become an OT after growing up seeing OT, PT, Speech Therapy, and Recreational Therapy with my mom who had five brain bleeds and two brain surgeries during my childhood and young adult years. I witnessed firsthand the value of rehabilitation, and I wanted to be of service to people in the ways that I had seen so many therapists be of service to my mom. She passed away in April 2022, and I remain committed to my professional mission that was inspired by her and all of those who helped her to regain function.
