About Me
Seeing a new physician is an act of trust, and I hope to earn that trust by listening to you and understanding how your health issues affect your life and goals. I will then try and provide a diagnosis and give you some treatment options. At the end of a successful consultation, I want a patient to understand their health condition well enough to be able to explain it and whatever treatment options we may choose to their friends and family.

Clinical Focus and Research
My current research focuses on understanding barriers patients face in getting and taking their medications. These barriers are diverse: medication cost, side effects, and even trusting your physician can affect how and if patients take their medications. I hope that my research helps me understand and address the needs of my individual patients and patient populations as a whole. In the past, my research has utilized my organic chemistry background to develop new drugs at Genentech and in the academic setting.
