About Me
My inspiration to become an oncology nurse practitioner came from my previous experiences while training in radiation therapy. It was during this experience, that I observed the positive impact that a provider can have on a patient's experience while undergoing treatment for a complex condition. I am honored to serve as a nurse practitioner for the Duke Cancer Network, especially in the county that I call home. In this role, I partner with patients that have various hematological and oncology conditions to develop a holistic plan of care that will help the patient regain and/or maintain quality of life. In my time away from work, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband and fur babies, a beagle and a labradoodle, either at home on our farm or at the North Carolina coast.
