About Me

As a mother of three children, including one I had at a very young age and two at a fairly “elderly” age, I understand the stresses of pregnancy and the strains that women’s lives impose on our bodies. I do my best to give women compassionate and sensitive care while emphasizing practical treatments that work. I love getting to know my patients and their families. I’m passionate about helping women get reliable contraception and find solutions to post-pregnancy problems such as pain and incontinence. I also have extensive experience in laparoscopic and robotic surgery. Although most folks don’t get excited about having surgery, I find it very fulfilling to be able to give patients surgical interventions that minimize scarring and complications and allow them to go home sooner. My primary activity outside of medicine is being a mom. Gardening and making cookies are tied for second.

The Patient Rating score is an average of all responses to care provider related questions on our nationally-recognized Press Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Learn more about our survey process. Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the best score. Patients who see some types of providers receive a different version of the patient satisfaction survey. Those results are not available on DukeHealth.org.
