About Me

I work with the Pediatric Transplant Infectious Diseases team. I specialize in the care of children and adolescents with increased risk for infection due to a compromised immune system including: solid organ transplant, oncology, hematopoietic stem cell transplant and cellular therapy, immune deficiencies and rheumatology patients. I have been working at Duke in the field of pediatric transplant for over 20 years now, and am passionate about my role in caring for patients and families in this specialized, but growing patient population. I particularly enjoy the meaningful relationships that come with being part of an expert team that walks with a patient and their family through the various stages of their treatment. My particular clinical and research interests include infections in the hematopoietic stem cell transplant and cellular therapy population. I grew up in Canada, and when I am not at work, I love to travel, garden, and spend as much time outdoors as possible.
