About Me
I specialize in lung cancer and head and neck cancers. Thoracic medical oncology is a unique specialty, and I work to provide the best treatment plan options for the patient. Medical oncology focuses on systemic therapy, such as chemotherapy or immunotherapy, drugs which help to fight cancer. I have been an oncology nurse my entire career. My goal is to provide patient-centered, holistic care. Minimizing side effects of chemotherapy so patients can live their lives independently of a cancer diagnosis and its treatment is very important to me as a provider. Quality of life matters and is something that can be accomplished with open communication between providers and patients, as well as symptom management checks. Outside work I enjoy reading, gardening, exploring beautiful North Carolina sites, and spending time with my family and rescue dog.
