WHERE I PROVIDE CARE
Profile
ABOUT ME

Apart from managing common endocrine diseases, I focus on two conditions. Along with the oncology team, I co-manage a large number of patients who develop endocrine (thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, and type 1 diabetes) side effects from new cancer therapies called immune check point inhibitors. I understand that being diagnosed with cancer is a life changing experience and my team and I are here to provide evidence-based, comprehensive care to our patients. I have also developed a program called Managing Ethnic Diabetes Effectively (MEDE), which puts culture at the center of the discussion when managing diabetes in South Asians. I believe that incorporating cultural food and lifestyle choices in developing treatment plans with patients ensures their success. I am an active member of the American Diabetes Association and The Endocrine Society and American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. Apart from work, I enjoy exploring cultures through travel and food and enjoy art projects with my son.
