Description
You're Invited! Come Meet a Therapy Dog
Take a break and enjoy a special visit from one of our certified therapy dogs through the Pets at Duke program! These amazing dogs are trained to bring comfort, reduce stress, and brighten your day. We meet on the second Monday of every month, from 2:00 to 3:30 pm, in the Patient Resource Center on Level 0 of the Duke Cancer Center.
They can sense when someone needs a calm and friendly presence. Whether you just need a quick mood boost or support during treatment, spending time with a therapy dog can help you feel more relaxed, connected, and cared for.
Why Should You Join Us?
Research shows that pet therapy can lower stress and ease feelings of sadness. Being around animals—especially dogs—can help people feel happier, more peaceful, and emotionally stronger during tough times.
Come experience the calm and joy these therapy dogs bring. Let them lift your spirits and share their gentle support.
