We provide urgent care services when you need quick medical attention for a non-life-threatening problem. This option is ideal if your primary care doctor is unavailable.

  • Minor burn injuries
  • Superficial wounds, and wounds that require stitches
  • Sick visits for fever, cough, congestion, sore throat, and strep throat
  • Flu and flu symptoms, including vomiting
  • Urinary symptoms
  • Mild allergic reactions
  • Sinus infections and respiratory infections

Physical Exams and Vaccinations:

  • Sports physicals and Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals

Duke has specific locations for COVID-19 testing and treatment, and you should contact your doctor for respiratory care or COVID testing.

Walk-in Wellness Care

If your primary care doctor isn’t available or you don’t have one, our walk-in wellness visits provide same-day, on-demand care for routine needs. We have on-site doctors available throughout the day to fit in a well visit around your busy schedule. You can also reserve a spot after-hours and on weekends.

Walk-in wellness visits provide routine care such as:

  • Adult annual physicals
  • Birth control prescriptions
  • Pap smear and breast exams to test for cervical and breast cancer
  • Screening for HPV and sexually-transmitted infections
  • Tests for diabetes, cholesterol, blood pressure, and obesity
  • Behavioral health evaluations for depression and anxiety with referral to Duke counselors if needed
  • Smoking cessation

Like urgent care, walk-in wellness offers physicals for college, sports, and employment, including for the Department of Transportation. You can also receive annual vaccinations, EKG tests, and drug screenings.

In addition to walk-in care, you can reserve a time online. You should contact your insurance provider before your visit to make sure you’re covered for a walk-in wellness visit.
