About Me

With over 23 years dedicated to the practice of hematology and oncology, my passion for this field has only deepened over time. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working across diverse settings, always focused on advancing patient care while striving to meet the needs of both patients and their loved ones. My interest in oncology began after a counseling session that enlightened me to the unique and wide-ranging challenges faced by cancer patients. This propelled my commitment to connect with each patient's journey to help achieve the delicate balance between the most effective treatment options and quality of life tailored to each individual. My focus is on treating multiple myeloma, amyloidosis, and plasma cell malignancies, using a spectrum of approaches from chemotherapy to novel cellular therapies, including CAR T-cell and bispecific antibodies, and also bone marrow transplant. My personal interests include exploring the beauty of North Carolina, gardening, yoga, and choral singing. I am excited about the prospect of contributing to your care and journey at Duke Blood Cancer Center, where I aim to combine expertise and empathy to offer the best possible care.
