WHERE I PROVIDE CARE
Profile
ABOUT ME

I knew from my teen years that I wanted to become a nurse. I thought I would spend my career in a hospital at the bedside. In 1990, I had an opportunity to attend graduate school though I wasn't sure why I was going. At that time, I was not even aware of the expanding career of nurse practitioners. When I was introduced to this career path, I knew it was what I wanted to do. I've never regretted my decision. I have worked for 15 years in the primary care and nursing home settings caring for patients. In the past five years I have worked in the fields of substance use and psychiatry. Patients are teaching me all the time how to become a better provider. I have had professional and personal fulfillment in all areas. I enjoy taking care of people and seeing their health improve. I like working with other dedicated health care providers to accomplish this. I have two grown children who give me much joy. In my spare time, I like to kayak, bike, refinish furniture, dance and travel.
