About Me
My interests in psychology blossomed while researching the development and prevention of mood and anxiety disorders in children and adolescents while at Stanford. Prior to pursuing my PhD in Clinical Psychology, I worked with homeless adolescents and young adults as a clinical case manager in a community mental health program. Witnessing the challenges and resilience of these youth motivated my research on the development and treatment of psychiatric disorders while at Vanderbilt. My clinical interests in child and adolescent mental health and the development of my skills in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and family systems approaches stem directly from these formative experiences. I am thrilled to be at Duke as a Medical Instructor in the Psychiatry Department providing evidence-based treatments to children and families in the community. I am also a secondary faculty member in the Department of where I teach a course on clinical interventions. In my spare time I enjoy traveling, cooking, and exploring with my family and friends.
