MOMMA R01 (Child Development) - Clinical Trial
What is the Purpose of this Study?
The purpose of this study is to better understand how prenatal maternal health, such as higher body mass, and well-being, such as mental health, are related to early child development. We are especially interested in identifying the factors that influence young children's ability to regulate their emotions. We hope that any new information we learn from this study could benefit young children in the years to come.
El propósito de este estudio es comprender mejor cómo la salud prenatal de la madre, como una mayor masa corporal, y el bienestar, como la salud mental, están relacionados con el desarrollo tempano de los niños. Estamos especialmente interesados en identificar los factores que influyen en la capacidad de los niños pequeños para regular sus emociones. Esperamos que cualquier información nueva que obtengamos de este estudio pueda beneficiar a los niños pequeños en los años venideros.

Who Can Participate in the Study?
Women who are:
- Pregnant with one baby
- Ages 18 years or older

What is Involved?
- Remote questionnaires and surveys about your physical and mental health and health of your baby
- Collection of biological samples, such as blood
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scans of your baby's brain during third trimester and when your baby is around 1 year old
- Compensation for your time and travel

- Cuestionarios y encuestas a distancia sobre su salud física y mental y la de su bebé
