My Locations
About Me
As an internal medicine doctor, I take care of adults from age 18 to the end of life. I see some patients for acute problems, such as the common cold or the flu, and others I see for chronic issues that need monitoring, such as liver problems, heart problems, and diabetes. My philosophy when meeting with patients is that my office is a shared decision-making space. I like to get to know each patient so that I'm able to understand what medical therapies would be appropriate to their life. I also enjoy being able to educate patients on their bodies, why they may start or stop certain medications, and how to live healthy lifestyles. Duke is a special place because we have experts in all different fields. If I need to refer a patient to another specialty, we have surgeons, physicians, radiologists, and other specialists who are at the top of their fields here.
