About Me

As a provider in the specialty of family medicine, I am committed to providing compassionate, yet evidenced-based primary care. From the care of children and their well-child checks and visits for acute needs to the care of their grandparents with their follow-up visits for their medical conditions (diabetes, hypertension, elevated cholesterol, etc.), I take care of the whole person rather than just a specific diagnosis. With additional training in primary care sports medicine, I can take care of your non-operative musculoskeletal issues and injuries (including concussion). Education is very important to me. A patient cannot make a good decision unless they are well-informed. Care has to include consideration of patient context and coordinating care with other providers if/when they are needed. These days those discussions often entail cost considerations as part of the pros and cons of treatment. What’s “correct” academically is not always feasible for a patient when you have to consider high deductible insurance plans, inability to miss work, etc.

Ratings and Reviews

The Patient Rating score is an average of all responses to care provider related questions on our nationally-recognized Press Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Learn more about our survey process. Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the best score. Patients who see some types of providers receive a different version of the patient satisfaction survey. Those results are not available on DukeHealth.org.
