COVID and Diabetes Assessment Study - Clinical Trial

What is the Purpose of this Study?

People who join this study will answer surveys by phone, online, or in person. They will also give regular blood samples. Some people will be asked to do extra tests that check how their body handles sugar, measure special biomarkers, and look at how well their blood vessels work. Participants will be followed for two years. The study will also use information from their electronic health records over time.

What is the Condition Being Studied?

Diabetes.

A diagnosis of Type 1 or Type 2 Diabetes in the last 6 months.

Who Can Participate in the Study?

Adults 18 years and older and who have been diagnosed with type 1 or type 2 diabetes in the last 6 months.

What is Involved?

The goal of this study is to learn more about what happens during the first one to two years after someone is diagnosed with diabetes. The study will look at how COVID 19 and other factors might affect people who are newly diagnosed with diabetes.
