Duke University Hospital Top 10 in Country, No. 1 in State  Once again, U.S. News & World Report ranked Duke as one of the nation's top 10 hospitals. This is the first year the magazine ranked the top hospitals in each state, with Duke being named the #1 hospital in North Carolina. The hospital is again #1 in the Triangle. (July 17, 2012)

Duke Awarded Highest State Honor as Business Role Model  Duke University Hospital has become the first hospital in North Carolina to achieve the highest level in the N.C. Awards for Excellence program that recognizes exemplary business practices.

Durham Regional Hospital Achieves Certification as a Primary Stroke Center
After demonstrating compliance with nationally developed standards for stroke care, Durham Regional has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for certification as a Primary Stroke Center. (Jan. 4, 2012)

Durham Regional Hospital Receives American College of Cardiology Foundation’s NCDR ACTION Registry–GWTG Gold Performance Achievement Award

Duke Raleigh Hospital Cardiac Rehabilitation Program Certified by Industry Leader
Duke Raleigh Hospital is proud to announce the certification of its cardiac rehabilitation program by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR). Duke Raleigh Hospital Named Magnet Hospital

Duke Raleigh Hospital has achieved MagnetTM designation for excellence in nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Only 5 percent of the nation's hospitals have earned this designation, the highest level of national recognition to health care organizations that demonstrate sustained excellence in nursing care. Durham Regional Hospital Named Magnet Hospital

Durham Regional Hospital (DRH) has achieved Magnet designation for excellence in nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Only 5 percent of the nation's hospitals have earned the designation, which is intended to recognize hospitals that provide the highest level of nursing care. (November 18, 2008)

Four Duke physicians were named as "America's Top Doctors for Women" in the November issue of Women's Health. (Nov. 6, 2008)
