What is the Purpose of this Study?

We are doing this study to help us understand how doctors treat and manage people with severe asthma and how the health of people with severe asthma changes with those treatments.

This is an observational study, meaning it does not include any study drug or device.

What is the Condition Being Studied?

Severe Asthma in Adults

Who Can Participate in the Study?

Adults, 18+ who:

-Have a diagnosis of asthma for at least 12 months prior to enrolling in the study

-Are considered severe and/or uncontrolled by their treating pulmonary specialist

-Are getting regular care from a pulmonary specialist at Duke

-Have an email address and internet access for completion of online surveys

What is Involved?

If you choose to join the study, you will be asked to:

-Complete online, monthly surveys about your life and health

-Give the study team permission to collect information from your medical records every 6 months (for up to 5 years)
