Scleroderma is a fibrosing diseases that causes skin and connective tissue to become thick and rigid, and can result in hair loss and severe tissue damage throughout the body.

Some 300,000 Americans -- mostly women -- are believed to suffer from the scleroderma.

Working closely with scientists at the esteemed Duke Scleroderma Research Center, our clinicians are dedicated to providing the most advanced care to patients with this serious and chronic condition.

Duke Rheumatology partners with other specialties throughout Duke to coordinate and deliver the interdisciplinary care scleroderma patients need.
