Speech pathologists and audiologists
Duke's speech pathology and audiology team includes speech pathologists, audiologists, a rehabilitation engineer, coordinator of research and development, computer project manager, a systems user analyst, and support personnel.
Advanced training and expertise
All of our speech pathologists and audiologists:
- Have either a doctoral or master's degree in speech pathology or audiology from an accredited college or university
- Are licensed by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists
- Hold, or are working toward the Certificate of Clinical Competence in speech pathology or audiology from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association
We use a wide variety of instruments and test batteries to evaluate and manage children and adults with speech, language, hearing, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. We work closely with your medical team and you to ensure you and your family's needs are met.
