WHERE I PROVIDE CARE
Profile
ABOUT ME

I perform all types of vascular surgery from taking care of varicose veins to fixing aneurysms and everything in between. One of the things I love about my field is that I get to treat the whole patient. Once they come see me, they become my patient forever; it’s critical to develop a long-term relationship with them. My job is to not only treat whatever issues they came to see me about, but also to learn about what led to their problems. It’s important to have discussions on their risk factors so they can improve their day-to-day life and reduce the chance of needing additional procedures. When I meet with patients, I think it’s important to present them with all the options available and find out what matches their personal goals. Outside of work, I enjoy sailing, scuba diving and taking my two dogs hiking.

Clinical Focus and Research
MY RESEARCH INTERESTS

Originally, my research involved looking at ways to slow down the scaring that occurs inside of the arteries. Over time my research has changed, leading me to return to school to get a master’s in public health. Now I focus on the outcomes of what we do and how we can improve our delivery of care for patients.
