WHERE I PROVIDE CARE
Profile
ABOUT ME

My clinical practice focuses on the surgical treatment of patients who have cataracts, corneal problems, and those who are looking to get out of their contacts and/or glasses. I’m a professor of ophthalmology and the division chief for cornea and refractive surgery. I find my work extremely rewarding. It’s a special experience and privilege to help give patients their vision back. I grew up studying classical piano, which has interestingly been a positive factor in developing my manual dexterity for both hands. I enjoy music in general and DJ for our ophthalmology meetings across the country and the world.

Clinical Focus and Research
MY RESEARCH INTERESTS

I’ve been very involved in research in the past, most of which has focused on wound healing in the eye. Now my main focus is to foster clinical and basic science research activities amongst our cornea faculty. Improving patient care is extremely important to me, and I try to cultivate research that directly contributes to this goal.
