WHERE I PROVIDE CARE
Profile
ABOUT ME

My decision to become a family physician was influenced by my training and my heritage. I grew up in Ashe County, a beautiful rural community in the North Carolina mountains where family ties are strong. As I was introduced to patient care in medical school and allowed so freely into the lives of my patients, I realized that my passion in medicine was in direct patient care. Throughout my career, I have striven to establish a connection with my patients and to learn about their families and their lives. Family medicine is perfect for me because it allows me to care for the entire family, including multiple generations, from birth to death. It is in these relationships that I have gained my greatest understanding of the role of the family physician. I look forward to learning about the lives of my patients at Duke Primary Care. I am honored to be able to use my knowledge and training in the effort to improve the lives and health of my patients.
