ABOUT ME

Reproductive endocrinology and infertility is an incredibly challenging and fulfilling field that I have not grown tired of in 20-plus years of practice. I am very lucky that each day I still wake up eager to go to work. I have spent my entire adult life in the field of medicine. Even before I was old enough for medical school, I worked as a nursing assistant in such areas as the intensive care unit, burn unit and emergency department. One of the main reasons that I love this work actually happened the morning that I wrote this -- that day, like many days, I got to hold a beautiful three-month-old baby, which came into the world with a little help from the Duke Fertility Center.
