Duke Health contracts with most major health insurance carriers and transplant networks, including the ones listed below. Before scheduling your appointment, we strongly recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the Duke Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any co-payments, co–insurances, or deductibles that will be your responsibility. If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with Duke, your out of pocket liability may be higher. We will contact you regarding your coverage and patient liability. If you are uninsured, learn more about our financial assistance policy.

Below are the plans currently accepted in 2018. There are some changes to the plans accepted beginning January 1, 2019. More information will become available on PlanForDuke.com.

WHERE I PROVIDE CARE
Profile
ABOUT ME

I work with Dr. Holst in the Adult Reconstruction Division of Duke Orthopaedics, seeing patients with hip or knee osteoarthritis in need of joint replacement surgery. I chose to become a physician assistant while working as a phlebotomist at a cancer center in Athens, Georgia. I have always had an interest in musculoskeletal conditions and injuries and was drawn to the orthopaedic specialty. I have sustained small injuries myself while participating in activities I love, and I was grateful for the care I received. This experience gave me a passion to help orthopaedic patients return to the activities they enjoy and improve their quality of life through greater mobility. Outside of work, I can be found running, cycling, painting, or just enjoying my family. My husband and I live in Wake Forest with our son and have gotten involved in a local church. We enjoy all the outdoor activities the area has to offer.
