About Me

I wanted to be a doctor from the time I was very young, but it was when my own father had a heart attack in his 30’s that I knew I wanted to be a heart specialist. As a general cardiologist here at Duke, I care for patients with a wide range of heart issues including palpitations, abnormalities, hypertension and heart attacks. I work between two clinics, serving people from a variety of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds in the community. Although I focus on many therapeutic issues within cardiology, one of my main interests is cardiac arrest, specifically regarding survival of patients who have undergone CPR in a non hospital setting. I love getting to know my patients and finding things that connect us outside of their health or diagnosis. It is a privilege, as a physician, to be allowed entry into patients’ lives to listen, to comfort and to care for them during a difficult time in their health journey.

Ratings and Reviews

The Patient Rating score is an average of all responses to care provider related questions on our nationally-recognized Press Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Learn more about our survey process. Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the best score. Patients who see some types of providers receive a different version of the patient satisfaction survey. Those results are not available on DukeHealth.org.
