WHERE I PROVIDE CARE
Profile
ABOUT ME

I am an epidemiologist and clinical researcher who is eager to find safe and effective treatments, as well as specific lifestyle or dietary recommendations, which may improve the complication of metabolism and obesity on the liver. I strongly believe that my patients should be empowered with the knowledge necessary to be active and informed participants in their health care management. I value my doctor-patient relationships and am passionate about delivering the highest quality of health care possible. I value time with my family and children, enjoy music and the arts, and love engaging in the process of scientific discovery in hopes that my work might have positive impact on the field of medicine beyond caring for my individual patients alone.

MY RESEARCH INTERESTS

My research focuses on nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), currently one of the most common causes of chronic liver disease in the United States. My work investigates the risk factors associated with NAFLD and its associated liver injury, and evaluates new therapies which may treat and/or reverse liver injury. My research goals are to optimize the liver-related complications of obesity and improve the quality of life and liver health of patients with NAFLD.
