About Me

I am a nurse practitioner at Durham OB-GYN. I follow female patients from adolescence all the way through their life – which includes their gynecology care, when they are ready to have children, following them through their pregnancy and postpartum, and then back through the gynecology process. One of the things I love about women’s health care is the preventative aspect of it. A lot of patients will come to me for the first time for an annual exam, many of them having never been to an OB-GYN before. For a first-time meeting, I like to introduce myself and let them know what to expect from the visit, because I know that for many women, visiting an OB-GYN practice makes them feel vulnerable. Compassion is a big part of Duke; colleagues and staff here really care about patient care and individualized care.
