About Me

Overview

Mental health care is an important aspect of overall health. It is now more common than ever for youth to be struggling with anxiety, depression, and suicidality. I strive to meet each patient and family member with openness and compassion and to make them feel that they are not alone in what they are going through. I believe that every person has unique strengths and deserves to feel like they can engage fully in their activities and relationships. When I am not in clinic seeing patients, I am working toward finding ways for youth to have improved access to learning social-emotional and coping skills and mental health care. Other activities that give me joy include reading, weaving baby hats, being outside, and spending time with my two cats.

Before scheduling your appointment, we strongly recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the Duke Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any co-payments, co–insurances, or deductibles that will be your responsibility. If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with Duke, your out of pocket liability may be higher. We will contact you regarding your coverage and patient liability. If you are uninsured, learn more about our financial assistance policy.
