About Me

I am a general hematologist-oncologist. This means that I do not limit my focus to just a few types of cancer or blood disorders but instead help my patients with whatever diagnosis they may have. During my career in military medicine, I was called to serve in many roles including internist, flight surgeon, staff officer, professor, hematologist-oncologist, and combat medical officer across the country and the world. I feel that this experience provided me with some of the versatility required to provide the best possible care to patients with cancer and blood disorders. It is a great privilege to be able to care for cancer and blood disorder patients, many of whom are at one of the most vulnerable points in their lives. When I am not working, I focus on my religious faith, my wife and five children, and my love of live music.
