About Me

I believe in a realistic approach to improving nutritional habits for better quality of life and longevity. My interest in nutrition blossomed from health problems dominating my family's life that could have been corrected through preventive diet measures, change in mindset, access to quality health care and nutrition education. I am interested in educating the public and community and inspired by anyone open to taking the necessary steps to support their body through nutrition and wellness. I emphasize making behavioral changes around lifestyle, while also debunking food myths, helping people develop better relationships with their food, and making healthier, sustainable food choices. I treat patients with type 2 diabetes and provide diabetes self-management education. In my spare time, I love to travel and explore different hiking trails in North Carolina, spend time with family and friends, and take care of my plants. I was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee.
