Duke Health contracts with most major health insurance carriers and transplant networks, including the ones listed below. Before scheduling your appointment, we strongly recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the Duke Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. WHERE I PROVIDE CARE
Profile
ABOUT ME

After working and teaching for several years as a primary care general internist, I returned to Duke for further training as a fellow in hospice and palliative medicine. I am now back on the Duke faculty consulting on seriously ill patients at Duke University and Duke Regional Hospital as well as caring for patients at Duke's in-patient hospice facility, The Hock Family Pavilion. My teaching and research passions center around seriously ill patients, many of whom are at the end of their lives. My life in enriched by assisting these patients, their families and all of my great colleagues in medicine who bravely care for them.
