About Me

My goal as a primary care provider is to provide unbiased, efficient care to the residents of the Durham area. Working to improve the health of the community at large, particularly for those who are underserved, is the cornerstone of why I decided to pursue a career in medicine. I want to encourage my patients to engage with their health and take active steps towards achieving a healthier life through patient education. I want to learn from my patients as well, as I believe everyone has a story to tell. Although not a native to Durham, I'm no stranger to the East Coast. I grew up a few hours south of here in South Carolina. I'm excited to learn and grow along with my patients and discover all the new and exciting things Durham has to offer.

Clinical Focus and Research

My Research Interests

I have done research looking at different barriers to care for people with chronic health conditions, such as hypertension and diabetes. I am interested in learning more about the social determinants of health, particularly across race, gender, and socioeconomic status, and how they play a role in the delivery of equitable care. I want to use this knowledge to help my patients achieve a healthier life.
