ABOUT ME

I am fortunate to have a career that I both love and that inspires me each and every day. I started my career as a nurse caring for patients with hematologic malignancies at Duke University Hospital. Though my career has taken me into other job roles and disease types, cancer care has always been my focus. I have always loved what I do. From the beginning, I knew that I had not chosen oncology, but rather oncology had chosen me. After fifteen years of working in oncology care at Duke, I continue to grow professionally and be inspired personally by the patients who integrate me as part of their cancer care team. The strength, resilience and tenacity of my patients show me the human spirit in it's most beautiful form. No matter where in their path I meet patients, I want to make their journey as smooth as possible.
