WHERE I PROVIDE CARE
Profile
ABOUT ME

I am a vascular surgeon at Duke Regional Hospital and Duke University Hospital. There I treat the full spectrum of vascular surgery disorders, and specialize in vein disease and vascular access, a procedure that makes life-saving hemodialysis treatments possible. The exacting challenge of vascular surgery first drew me to the specialty. I like that the operations we do are quality-of-life oriented. We usually make people feel better, and that is important to me. I also love being a long-term part of patients’ lives. When I meet with patients, I get to know them in order to provide the procedure best suited for their lives. The reward is knowing I have made a patient’s life easier or more comfortable. I am a native of rural Minnesota. I like being outdoors with my two young sons, riding bicycles and trying out new roller coasters.
