About Me
I administer anesthesia for a variety of surgical patients, but focus primarily on vascular procedures, which address issues with the body's blood vessels. In addition, I treat a multitude of conditions that respond well to hyperbaric oxygen therapy. I truly enjoy treating divers and allowing them to return to their underwater activities. When not in the operating room or hyperbaric chamber, I'm cave diving, fishing, and spending time with my wife and two dogs.

Clinical Focus and Research
My research interests focus primarily on the changes in blood flow when a person's body is submerged in water and how that interacts with the equipment utilized for SCUBA diving. As advanced SCUBA diving activities require complex gear, such as dry suits and closed-circuit rebreathers (CCRs), the influence of this equipment burden can be significant. These issues also impact commercial divers, who perform work underwater, such as welding or drilling. Similarly, military divers may face these physiological concerns during stealth, undersea missions.
