WHERE I PROVIDE CARE
Profile
ABOUT ME

As a hematopathologist, I specialize in the diagnosis of leukemia, lymphoma, and other neoplastic and non-neoplastic blood and lymph node diseases. I also serve as the medical director of the clinical hematology and electrophoresis laboratories at Duke, working to ensure that patients get the most accurate and timely laboratory test results possible. My particular areas of academic interest are the translation of next generation sequencing technologies into clinical hematology diagnostic tests, and the diagnosis and characterization of histiocytic diseases. I am also passionate about studying and improving test utilization in the clinical laboratory, helping clinicians to better understand which tests to order when, and thereby ensuring that our patients receive the best diagnostic workup possible.
