WHERE I PROVIDE CARE
Profile
ABOUT ME

My practice and research focus on helping patients with abnormal heart rhythms. Because these conditions can affect people of all ages, I see a wide range of patients. I entered medicine to play a part in helping people live more productive and fulfilling lives—a goal which continues to inspire me today. I’ve had several patients with severe heart failure who, after successful treatment, have become happier and healthier. One patient came to me with shortness of breath and inability to do normal, every day activities. After receiving a heart rhythm device, two months later the patient was able to jump rope at her daughter’s birthday party. These kinds of successes are special to me. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my three young kids, traveling and playing golf.

MY RESEARCH INTERESTS

My main area of research is focused on developing new and better methods for treatment of heart failure using cardiac resynchronization therapy. I am also studying new and improved techniques for the ablation of complex abnormal heart rhythms including atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia. I hope to improve the success rates of these procedures, while simplifying them to allow more patients to have access to safe and effective treatments for these disabling conditions.
