I was born and raised in southeastern Minnesota along the Mississippi River. I earned my RN associate degree there and trained at Mayo Clinic and associated hospitals. I went on to earn my BSN, as well as my master’s degree and nurse practitioner certification from the University of St. Catherine in St. Paul, Minnesota. The majority of my nursing career has been in cardiology. I have had the privilege of working with many cardiology groups across the country, including Orlando, Florida, Atlanta, Georgia, Southern California, as well as northern Iowa and southern Minnesota. I have been very happily married for 30 years, and we have three grown children. We moved to North Carolina five years ago, and we enjoy this area immensely and hope to retire here.
