About Me

I have lived in Durham for the past five years and am originally from western Maryland. I played lacrosse at Brown University in Rhode Island where I was captain during my red-shirt senior year. I researched genetics, osteoarthritis, and pre-term birth prior to unearthing my passion in physical therapy after several shoulder and lower-extremity injuries throughout my college playing career. I furthered my education in orthopaedics through an orthopaedic residency at Duke, where I pursued my passions in clinical reasoning and treating disorders of the spine. I am a collegiate women's lacrosse official and enjoy triathlons, running, and attending Duke sporting events. I care the most about giving my patients a thorough evaluation and an individualized and evidence-based treatment plan. I feel strongly about explaining to people why they hurt and how they can take control to minimize their pain and improve their function.
