About Me

I am a board-certified interventional radiologist. Working through 5mm scratches in the skin, I perform procedures to destroy cancers, such as liver, kidney, and bone tumors, through ablation and embolization. I also stabilize painful bone fractures (kyphoplasty, vertebroplasty, sacroplasty, and acetabuloplasty) by injecting cement into them. In addition, I treat painful nerves for patients with cancer and knee pain by targeting medications, heat, or ice onto them. I also work with endocrinologists and surgeons at Duke Health to provide the latest treatment options to our patients, including thyroid RFA for thyroid nodules, cryoablation for local recurrence of thyroid cancer, and embolization for goiter.

Before scheduling your appointment, we strongly recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the Duke Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any co-payments, co–insurances, or deductibles that will be your responsibility. If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with Duke, your out of pocket liability may be higher. We will contact you regarding your coverage and patient liability. If you are uninsured, learn more about our financial assistance policy.
